Jonny joined AFC Lightning from Southern Soccer Academy and Clayton State University. While at SSA, he served as a head coach in the Girls Academy League and Development Player League while simultaneously working as the Assistant Men's Soccer Coach at Clayton State. He has also assisted the USL-W League team, SSA Royals and USL 2 team, SSA Kings.

Prior to coaching at SSA, Jonny coached for several years at Concorde Fire and for Atlanta United's Regional Development Schools.

Jonny played his youth soccer at Youth Hartlepool United FC Academy and Gateshead FC U19’s and U23’s in England. He competed collegiately at Clayton State University where he was named to the All-Peach Belt Conference First Team in 2014 and Second Team in 2015.

Jonny has played professionally for the Atlanta Silverbacks, Peachtree City MOBA, East Atlanta FC and Southern Soccer Academy Kings. He was named to the USL Top 50 Player Prospects list in 2016. In 2018, Jonny played for Northumbria University in Newcastle, UK where they were British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS) north region league champions and made it to the final four of the BUCS National tournament.
